Scott Bennett has been a leader in the Manufactured Housing Industry and Real Estate Investment industry for over 25 years. Scott currently works in Private Real Estate Investments and serves on several Housing Boards in Texas. Mr. Bennett has helped create and implement strategic and tactical marketing initiatives with both CMH and Sun Properties for property management programs in the Texas Markets over the last 20 years. Mr. Bennett serves as a board member for State Associations in both Austin and Dallas. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Business from University of Tennessee. He has been recognized both nationally and locally for his outstanding achievements throughout his career. This year will be Mr. Bennett’s twelve year on the board of directors and is currently our Board Advisor.
Connie Brewton, currently interim Secretary, as previously employed by Credit Human and served in the role of Manufacturing Housing Loans Administrator Manager for five years. She has 20+ years of mortgage banking experience with specialized knowledge in Investor Services, Cash Management and Project Manager. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from University of Louisiana at Monroe and is a graduate of the School of Mortgage Banking. Professional awards earned include HomeSide Lending Service Excellence, Washington Mutual Summit Club and Ovation Award for Leadership.
Lisa Mendoza is a resourceful, energetic and reliable leader with 20 years’ experience in the Manufactured Housing Industry. Lisa currently works with a Private Commercial Real Estate Investment Trust as a Sales Development Professional and has earned several awards throughout her career for her sales and property management accomplishments. She has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from the University of Texas at San Antonio. Ms. Mendoza is a member of the Texas Manufactured Housing Association, National Association of Residential Property Managers, Pearl Rotary and San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce where she recently graduated from the highly acclaimed Alex Brisenio Leadership Development Program.
An over 20 year veteran of the manufactured housing industry, Barry has worked in several capacities in the manufactured housing financial services arena over his career. Currently, he works as the Sales and Marketing Manager with Credit Human Federal Credit Union directing their sales and marketing efforts. In addition, Barry currently serves as the Vice President of the Kentucky Manufactured Housing Institute, a member of the Manufactured Housing Institute’s Financial Services Committee, Board member of Kentucky Housing Corporation, and member of the Board of Directors at Next Step Homes among other organizational participation. Barry is the newly elected Board President of Factory Built Owners of America. Barry is a graduate of the University of Kentucky holding degrees in Business Management, Marketing, and Agriculture Economics. His hobbies include gardening and attending University of Kentucky sporting events.
Jim McKelvey has over 50 years of experience in the Manufactured Housing Industry. He began his career during high school working for his father in the family owned dealership that was established in 1951. Mr. McKelvey worked in every aspect of the dealership from delivery and installation, to sales, to service, and to management. He served as president of the Alamo Chapter of the Texas Manufactured Housing Association in the 80’s. Jim has also served in recent years on the board of directors of TMHA as a Lender Representative. Jim also worked for 16 years helping a credit union develop a program to finance manufactured housing. Jim is retired now but is still a regular contributor of articles for FBOA’s quarterly newsletter. Jim has served as an FBOA board member since 2003 and is the Board Vice President. Jim Loves this Country, the MH Industry, and the Lord.
